Children’s Centre Annual Golf Day

by isleofman.com 22nd March 2012

The event takes place on Friday 18 May 2012 at Mount Murray and involves a full day of golfing for the corporate teams, as well as food and drink throughout the day. Following the rounds of golf a celebratory dinner will then be held in the Wentworth Suite.

Michelle O’Malley, Fundraising Manager at The Children’s Centre, said:

“This is the sixth year in a row that we have held this event, due to its popularity and high attendance, and it is a fun day which often proves great for team building and networking. Once again, we are grateful for Appleby’s continued support and sponsorship of the event, which allows us to keep hosting it every year.”

Appleby have affirmed their support by sponsoring the event for the second year running. Having repeatedly entered a team year on year, Appleby is a fan of the event and Sean Dowling, Office Managing Partner of Appleby Isle of Man, said:

“We are happy to support The Children’s Centre’s Golf Day after a thoroughly enjoyable and successful event last year.” He continued, “It is a great opportunity for members of the Island’s community to get together and raise funds for a very worthwhile cause. I would also like to thank Michelle for the invitation to take part and we look forward to seeing you all out on the green!”

Last year, this event raised in excess of £6,500; the proceeds raised from this event go towards The Children’s Centre’s continued charitable work across the Island.
