Dougherty Quinn supports drive for HKSE listing

by isleofman.com 21st March 2012

Island law practice Dougherty Quinn partnered-up with the Department of Economic Development this week, in a new joint approach to raise the profile of Isle of Man plc.

The firm sponsored and co hosted the visit of Eric Landeer, Senior Vice President and Head of Issuer Marketing at the Hong Hong stock exchange.

The Island won approved jurisdiction status on the HK-ex in 2010, and there are hopes it won't be long before a Manx-registered company is listed there.

Services provided on-Island by corporate lawyers, the finance industry and CSPs will be key in making that happen.

Mr Landeer's visit was part of that drive. He outlined the opportunties for companies seeking to raise capital in the far east and gain a foothold in the huge Chinese market to local business heads.
