Permanent Bank International Ltd has appointed Chris Lees as Compliance Manager. Chris has more than 30 years’ experience in the finance sector including 10 years in senior roles in compliance. His career began with Midland Bank in the 1980s and he later worked for a Midland Bank subsidiary in Jersey. In 1989 he moved to the Isle of Man while working for Bradford & Bingley and played a key role in setting up the company’s office on the Island. Chris stayed with Bradford & Bingley which was acquired by Santander in 2008. He became part of Santander’s senior management team on the Island working as Risk and Compliance Manager, a post which he held prior to joining Permanent Bank
International Ltd. Chris, who is a member of the Alliance of Isle of Man Compliance Professionals, commented:
