Gala celebration this afternoon

by isleofman.com 18th March 2012

A gala occasion is promised at the Villa Marina this afternoon (Sunday).

Sixty years on from the Coronation at Westminster Abbey, selected music from that ceremony will be performed in a celebration of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.

The Isle of Man Choral Society and Isle of Man Symphony Orchestra will join forces with well known soloists Kristene Sutcliffe and Mandy Griffin, local choir Manx Voices and members of Manx Concert Brass.

The man responsible for bringing it all together is conductor Julian Power.

The gala concert will be held in the Royal Hall at 3pm.

Supported by Crowe Morgan, tickets are available on 600555.
