It's St George's v Union Mills

by isleofman.com 17th March 2012

The Grand Slam is still on for St George’s.

That’s after they clinched a place in Easter Monday’s Cu-Plas FA Cup Final.

A 3-1 win at Old Boys after extra-time ensured they overcame a massive test in their bid to complete a clean sweep.

Goals from Callum Morrissey (two) and Ciaran McNulty settled the tie.

Battling Old Boys, who played for around an hour after the dismissal of Ian Ramsey, had scored through Martin King but it was the Geordies who came out on top.

A first half blitz fired Union Mills to the Easter Monday showpiece.

The all-Second Division tie was never in doubt once AJ Suckling headed an eighth minute opener.

That opened the floodgates as the Millers sealed the tie inside the opening 35 minutes with a five goal romp.

Suckling went on to help himself to a hat-trick with Chris Kelly and Steven Quine netting the others for the Merry Millers.
