A hard-talking team from Arbory School in Ballabeg has taken the honours at this year's primary school public speaking competition.
Eight teams from around the Island took part, each fielding a chairman, speaker and proposer of the vote of thanks.
The contest is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Douglas, with a coveted trophy and cheque for ?750 presented to the winning school.
Year six pupils Archie Faragher, Reuben Harris and Emily Unsworth were chosen winners on Thursday by a panel of judges from Castle Rushen High School.
In his speech 'To Be a Farmer's Boy', 10 year old Archie entertained the audience with a catalogue of reasons why he didn't want to follow in his father's footsteps.
