Local Marketers Discover the Power of Video in Special Cinematic Presentation

by isleofman.com 16th March 2012

More than 70 of the Island’s marketers attended a special cinematic presentation highlighting the power of video.

The Chartered Institute of Marketing Isle of Man Branch staged its first event of 2012 at the Palace Cinema in Douglas on February 29th.

Local filmmaker and videographer Glenn Whorrall gave a special cinematic presentation and over a box of popcorn the Island’s marketing community discovered just how easy it is to incorporate online video into their promotional mix.

Isle of Man Branch Chair Gavin Smith commented on the event. He said: “It is encouraging to see many local businesses in the Island have already recognised the potential online video has to offer and, with research suggesting many businesses will be looking to utilise this new media as part of their communication strategy for 2012, we hope Glenn’s cinematic presentation provided marketers with a valuable insight.

“We were delighted Glenn agreed to give this presentation and, on behalf of the CIM, would like to thank him and his team for providing this thought-provoking presentation, packed with expert tips, practical advice and real life examples.“
