by isleofman.com 13th March 2012

The Isle of Man Arts Council is very pleased to announce the return of their popular lunchtime SoundBites series of free lunch hour concerts at the Villa Marina Arcade which will run from Monday 19th to Friday 23rd March between 1pm and 2pm.

The first Soundbites celebrated the refurbishment of the new Villa Marina Arcade and was so successful the Arts Council have since repeated the event a number of times. Each SoundBites runs for a week and provides live music every day during the 1pm-2pm lunch hour. Performances are free and people are welcome to bring their lunch with them.

The line up for the week will be a mix of local bands and artists, featuring some of the best local talent we have on the Isle of Man.

19th March     David Holland

20th March     Show Willing

21st March     The Mollags

22nd March     Simon Campbell

23rd March     RedGap

Emma Callin, Development Manager – Culture and Arts said “During 2009 and 2010 Soundbites had a loyal following and became very popular. The Arts Council are bringing it back not only to give audiences free music during their lunch hour but also to provide local bands and musicians with the opportunity to perform in the Villa Marina Arcade. We’re very excited about the line up for March, not only is it varied but as usual we have some top names from the Manx music scene performing.”

Further information about Soundbites can be obtained from the Arts Council on 694598 or at www.iomarts.com.
