Ballasalla traffic data shows massive speed limit breaches

A study into road use in Ballasalla has revealed some startling results.

One vehicle was clocked doing 62mph on the hill out of the village, Douglas Road, which is a 30mph zone.

Another did 47mph past the commissioners' building, more than twice the speed limit there.

Eddie Power of the Ballasalla and District Residents' Association says the survey, carried out by the Department of Infrastructure, came as the result of a petition from two local residents:
