Manx Winter-Sports star Zoe Gillings, currently No7 in the World Boarder-Cross rankings, returned to Les Carroz in the French Alps on Tuesday to cut the tape at the new ‘Chalet Plein Air’ operated by former Isle of Man residents Chris & Vanessa Callow.
Since setting up ManxSki 5 years ago the Callows have steadily built the business with increasing numbers of clients returning yearly to enjoy the 265km of pistes on offer in the Grand Massif just 45 minutes from Geneva Airport.
The new chalet boasts a wood-fired hot-tub and 8x4m open air swimming pool, important for the summer market which the Callows see as a natural extension of their business; a recent successful campaign with Zoe’s ‘Isle of Deals’ has seen the chalet close to fully-booked in July & August 2012. But it’s not too late to enjoy the best snow for years – ManxSki still have some availability in March and April including their ‘Dads & Lads’ Weekend at the start of the Easter Holidays.
