Portable hotel for TT village

Extra seats on planes and hundreds more bed spaces have been announced for this year's TT.

Two airlines serving the Island are laying-on extra flights during the festival

The Snoozebox portable hotel is confirmed for the TT village near the Grandstand, offering 240 double rooms.

And another fourteen hundred bed spaces have so far been registered by Homestay providers.

The Department of Economic Development has been working with its motorsport and tourism commercial partners to increase capacity for TT 2012, to cope with the growing numbers the event's attracting.

Manx2.com and easyJet are both expanding services during the festival. Manx2 is putting on extra flights throughout its network, while easyJet will increase flights on the route from Liverpool.

Douglas-based Regency Travel is handling bookings for Snoozebox, a self sufficient temporary hotel to be erected in Noble 's Park, offering double en suite rooms with breakfast included.

Meanwhile 340 Manx households are offering rooms for Homestay now in its 22 nd year..

On the events front island brewery Heron and Brearley is preparing to celebrate both TT and the Queen's diamond jubilee with a series of special attractions, due to announced at Easter.
