All set for women's title showdown

In the women’s Premier Division, reigning champions Vikings A edged close to retaining their title with a 4-0 success over Valkyrs A, courtesy of some familiar names, Kim Carney, Zoe Carney, Sarah Blackman and Katie Errock.

Nearest rivals Castletown A kept alive their hopes with a 4-1 win over Bacchas A, thanks to Eleanor Gawne (two), Kerry Kelly and Hannah Leece.

Sarah Moore replied for Bacchas.

A Hannah Grubb hat-trick fired Ramsey A to a 4-2 win over Vikings B.

She was joined on the scoresheet by Julie Chesterton with Dani Kelly netting a brace for Vikings.

First half goals from Tamsyn Cleverley and Michelle Poyzer did the damage as Valkyrs B ran out 2-1 winners over Bacchas B, for whom Hannah Riordan replied.

Away from the title drama in the Wi-Manx men’s Premier Division, there were two other top flight matches.

Third placed Castletown A and Ramsey A shared the points with Danny Kniveton and Nat Smith the respective scorers.

Vikings A ended a disappointing season on a high with a 6-2 romp over Bacchas B.

Ian Perry, Conor Byrne, Johnny Killey, Marc Dougherty, Ashley Osbourne and Andy Harding grabbed their goals.

Jamie Cox and Tony Bentley-Roberts were on target for Bacchas B.
