Investigations will continue today after a Manx2 flight had problems with it's undercarriage after landing last night.
Emergency services were called out just before 6 pm as the plane came to rest on grass just to the side of the runway, leaning heavily to one side.
It appears at this stage that the right hand undercarriage had failed.
The 12 passengers and two crew were all safely escorted from the plane with no serious injuries reported, although they were shaken by the accident.
The incident happened as the Jetstream 31 aircraft from Leeds Bradford Airport, operated by Links Air on behalf of Manx2, touched down in good conditions.
Manx2.com has issued a statement on the incident and expressed thanks to all those who helped for their professionalism and swift response. It says the company is dedicated to passenger safety and engineers from Links Air will be thoroughly investigating the cause of the problem
