by isleofman.com 8th March 2012

Two big hitters in the Island's finance sector are heading out to the Grand Canyon in May to help put local youngsters keen to start their own business, on the right road.

CEO of Boston Group Greg Ellison and Deloitte Isle of Man partner Sarah Saunders are taking on the eight day challenge to raise funds for Junior Achievement .

The pair both JA directors, are meeting their own costs to ensure all money raised goes straight to the charity.

Junior Achievement needs to raise ?300,000 each year to reach around 5000 Island students. Its programme helps motivate youngsters to go into business and develop entrepreneurial skills needed for the 21st century.

Greg and Sarah will travel from the UK to Pheonix with organisers Global Adventure Challenge, to trek through the Grand Canyon and descend into the Indian reservation of Havasupai - famous for having the post office in the US served by mule train!
