HGV consultation draws to a close

A consultation exercise, aiming to make sure heavy goods vehicles and their operators are up to scratch, finishes tomorrow (Friday).

The 'HGV operators' regulations has raised a bit of a stir over the cost and the extra paperwork involved.

The whole question of the condition of heavy vehicles was brought sharply into focus with the tragic death of young cyclist James Berry in December 2005.
