Kidd on top at NSC

Visiting walker David Kidd was the winner of Saturday’s Manx Harriers open meeting at the National Sports Centre.

He won the Ascot Hotel sponsored 200 kilometre walk ahead of locals Michael George (pictured) and Richard Gerrard.

Michelle Turner was the first woman home in fifth place.

James Traenor was the 10km winner with Sally Walker the first female in fourth place.

Cameron Corbishley pipped Alex Eaton in the five km event with Rory Barry third and Emma Prendiville fifth as the fastest woman.

Matthew Redfern, Jack Leversidge and Tom Partington won the three, two and one kilometre races respectively.
