Mountain closed after car fire

by isleofman.com 3rd March 2012

Police closed the Mountain Road for around two hours last night (Friday) after a car caught fire.

A silver Mazda containing a Ramsey family caught light shortly after 10.30pm as they were driving over the Mountain.

The driver pulled over into a layby and all the car’s occupants got out safely before the fire service put out the blaze.

The road was closed between the Creg-n-y-Baa and the Bienney Phott Road but reopened at around 1am.
