Malaysian Monsoon spoils Test for Crutchlow

by isleofman.com 29th February 2012

Isle of Man resident Cal Crutchlow was 7th quickest on the opening day of the second pre-season MotoGP test session at the Sepang circuit in Malaysia.

High morning temperatures allowed for useful track time but the afternoon was washed away by thunderstorms.

Crutchlow is again riding for the Monster Yamaha Tech Three team after being named as rookie of the year last season.

The timesheets were topped by World Champion Casey Stoner ahead of Honda team-mate Dani Pedrosa and Jorge Lorenzo.

There are two more days at Sepang for Crutchlow to test and assess a revised Yamaha YZR-MI engine specification.
