Tax expert welcomes government rebuttal

A leading tax expert has welcomed a government statement, rebutting any idea of Capital Gains Tax being introduced in the Island.

Treasury officials say the withdrawal of two concessions, and the strict treatment of an income distribution, does NOT add up to Capital Gains.

The measures follow the withdrawal of the Attribution regime from the Zero 10 system.
