Tynwald to debate tuition fee funding

The future of higher education funding is set to be debated next month.

The Department of Education will put the 2012 Student Awards Regulations before the March sitting of Tynwald.

It is expected there will be some significant changes as the department seeks to save ?2.5 million from its budget.

For the current academic year government committed ?11.5 million to higher education funding for 1,415 students.
