Dunlop's 60th commemorated

by isleofman.com 25th February 2012

TT fans around the world are paying tribute to the King of the Mountain.

Joey Dunlop would have been 60 today.

The most successful TT star of all-time, the man from Ballymoney, Northern Ireland, recorded 26 victories on the Mountain Course.

Dunlop was also known for his tireless charity work, particularly in Romania, for which he received an OBE in 1996.

He was killed in a crash while racing in Estonia in July 2000.

Still in his prime, he'd won three TTs that year, at the age of 48.
