Island services from the UK Ministry of Defence will not be diminished by cuts, the Chief Minister insists.
The Isle of Man has had an agreement with the UK for the past 20 years which sees an annual Manx spend of about ?3 million.
This means the UK is responsible for defending the Island and providing consular services.
MHK Kate Beecroft said if MoD services are reduced, so should the Island’s annual contribution.
