Staff from Hospice prepare to fly for charity

by isleofman.com 17th February 2012

TWO brave staff from Hospice Isle of Man are preparing to jump out of a plane at 10,000 feet to raise money for the charity.

Elaine Quayle and Siobhan Ellison will each do a tandem sky dive, attached to an instructor, on Saturday, April 21, in Lancashire.

Finance manager Elaine, who will have worked for Hospice for 20 years in April, decided to take on the challenge after turning 50 and losing five stone last year.

Service support coordinator Siobhan has worked for Hospice for more than 10 years – and wanted to join in.

Mary Doyle, the PR and marketing manager for Hospice, said: "There are easier ways to celebrate momentous occasions but I applaud their commitment to Hospice – what dedicated staff we have."
