Fond farewell for charity cyclist

A round-the-world cyclist set off from Douglas last night (Wednesday) with an audience of keen supporters.

Paul Ashley Unett, 29, is aiming to cross the globe on just his bicycle in under five months, which would break the current record.

He hopes to raise a total of ?29,000 for the MSPCA and a school building charity in Haiti.

A crowd of people said goodbye as he started his journey from M&Co in Douglas:
