LOCAL residents who wish to apply to become trustees of Manx National Heritage have been reminded of the upcoming deadline.

Those people who feel they have the necessary skills to act as guardians of the Island's heritage and cultural assets have until 5pm on Monday (February 20) to apply.

Manx National Heritage is governed by trustees who make a valuable contribution to its many activities by virtue of their knowledge, experience and expertise.

The Council of Ministers wants to appoint trustees for a period of up to five years subject to Tynwald approval.

Chief Minister Allan Bell MHK said: "Manx National Heritage plays an important part in Island life and the calibre of its trustees is vital to its continued success."

An information pack, which includes details of the role profile and person specification, is available from the government website – www.gov.im. Forms can be completed and submitted online or printed versions can be collected from the Chief Secretary's Office on Bucks Road in Douglas.
