East Coast Road open

by isleofman.com 15th February 2012

The East Coast road is open again after a tree brought power lines down in Laxey around 5 am this morning (Wed)

The incident happened by the New Inn, closing the road to traffic and disrupting bus services.

Emergency services and Manx Electricity Authority Engineers have been working since the early hours to fix the problem.

The Department of Community Culture and Leisure says services 3 and 13 are now running to timetable and all normal services will resume as soon as possible.

MEA engineers are completing work to restore power to those households which have been affected and it's hoped this will be finished soon.
