The east coast road between Ramsey and Laxey has been closed this morning (Wednesday), after a fallen tree brought down power lines.
The tree came down at the New Inn in Laxey, and the road has been closed from the Minorca Hill turn-off.
The road is expected to stay closed until around 9am, and buses are being diverted via the Mountain Road.
The Public Transport Division says: 'All service 3 buses from Douglas are being diverted from the Manx Arms in Onchan, via Avondale Road, to run over the Mountain Road to Ramsey.
'All service 3 buses from Ramsey will divert over the Mountain Road to the Manx Arms.'
The Route 43 to Laxey Primary School is cancelled, which means parents will have to make alternative arrangements to get their children to school.
The Route 44 will serve Minorca and Captain's Hill, and run via Ramsey and the Mountain Road to Douglas.
An additional Route 44 will run from Ballacannell to Douglas schools.
No stops will be served between the MER station in Laxey and Ballacennell.
