Golfers invited to take part in "eggs-tra" special charity event

by isleofman.com 14th February 2012

GOLFERS in the Isle of Man have been invited to take part in an "eggs-tra" special charity golf day.

Crossroads Care is holding a golf day on Easter Monday (April 9) in conjunction with Canada Life International, the Rossborough Group, and Cavendish Trust.

The charity event will be held at Douglas Golf Club and will begin with an 18 hole round of golf followed by a presentation dinner.

Entrants will also have an opportunity to "beat the pro" and challenge Gary Hunter - the professional in residence at Douglas Golf Club and one of two men in the Island to possess the PGA certification.

There will also be an after dinner raffle and the winning team from the competition will be awarded the Crossroads Care golf trophy.

Registration for a team of four costs £120 and includes a two course dinner.

All proceeds from the event will be donated to Crossroads Care – a local charity that provides respite to those looking after someone with an illness, disability, frailty, substance abuse or mental health problem on the Isle of Man.

To register your team, or as an individual, please contact Alex Wilson from Crossroads Care on 01624 673103 or e-mail mail@crossroadsiom.org.
