A Baldrine man accused of making a false statement on his election nomination paper will stand trial this afternoon (Tuesday).

Nigel Dobson, who stood unsuccessfully in the constituency of Garff in the House of Keys general election last September, denies the charge.

His summary trial before magistrates starts at 2pm.
