New social care policy: LVP sees benefits

The chairman of the Liberal Vannin Party is backing the principle of offering more care for elderly people in their own homes.

There has been criticism of the Department of Social Care since last week's announcement the Glenside residential home will close by 2014, as part of an overhaul of adult social care.

However, Roy Redmayne says as long as mistakes from a similar scheme in the United Kingdom are not repeated, there are definite benefits:
