'No problem' as plane resumes journey

A Flybe flight returned to Isle of Man Airport yesterday (Sunday) but set off again after checks revealed no problems with the aircraft.

The incident happened at around 2.30pm, when air traffic controllers thought spotted a puff of smoke as the plane took off.

However, checks found no faults and the flight to Liverpool was able to resume its journey.

Airport director Ann Reynolds says the incident was a minor one and no emergency was declared (listen to audio file below):
