Clubs try again to play cup ties

by isleofman.com 11th February 2012

Another attempt will be made this afternoon (Saturday) to play five of the six Manx FA Cup ties which were either postponed or abandoned in last weekend's terrible weather.

Grand Slam chasing St George's visit Billygoat Park to renew their acquaintence with Division Two side Foxdale. The Douglas team established a seven goal lead a week ago, before the referee called a halt to proceedings early in the second half.

Elsewhere, Old Boys travel to Ramsey, Braddan host Castletown, Onchan welcome Premier League strugglers Ayre, and Union Mills tackle St John's.

The only remaining first round game not going ahead today is the Old Firm game between Rushen and Peel.
