Is the Manx government dictating what development takes place in the Isle of Man, or are developers unduly influencing government?
That question is being posed by Michael MHK Alf Cannan, who wants a Tynwald select committee to investigate a land swap deal between the Department of Education and Children, and Heritage Homes.
Just over half an acre of a field at Kirk Michael Primary School could be swapped for two acres nearby, subject to planning approval being granted for 100 properties to be built.
The agreement, believed to be worth in the region of ?6 million to the developer, would also see a new sports pitch and play area for children, as well as space for a further development at the school.
However, Mr Cannan is concerned government is building too close a relationship with the developers:
