Liverpool or Heysham?

The head of a Manx passenger organisation says he’ll be interested to see whether the Steam Packet concentrates its operations in Liverpool rather than Heysham.

Brendan O’Friel of Travelwatch says there are arguments both for and against the moves and he’d be interested to see how passengers react to the proposal.

Mr O’Friel says Heysham can be more convenient for those heading north or wanting to connect to the UK’s motorway system.

But he says there are possible benefits sailing to Liverpool rather than Lancashire.
