POLICE are appealing for information after a road traffic collision left a car's bonnet "buckled and disjointed".

The incident happened at some point between January 20 and January 27 near to the Rowany Villas on The Promenade in Port Erin.

Between these dates a vehicle – its make and model unknown – has collided with a blue Jaguar X type SE which was parked and unattended in a parking space.

A police spokesperson said: "Another vehicle has collided into the front of this vehicle causing a minor dent to the front grille. However as a result the bonnet has become buckled and disjointed."

Police say the offending vehicle left the scene without leaving details or trying to make contact with the owner of the Jaguar.

Anyone with information relating to this incident is asked to contact PC Lee Wright at Castletown Police Station on 01624 822222 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
