An inquiry investigating allegations of corruption within local government is set to start this afternoon (Monday).
A Tynwald select committee is examining claims by Rae Hamilton, the former tenant of Onchan Squash Club.
He presented a petition on Tynwald Day last year urging politicians to explore the responsibilities of local authorities and declarations of interest.
It related specifically to former chairman of Onchan Commissioners Brian Stowell who was the subject of a smear campaign during the House of Keys general election, and has been criticised by squash players, unhappy at the loss of facilities for the sport in Onchan Park.
Both Mr Hamilton and Mr Stowell will give evidence from 2pm this afternoon in the Legislative Council Chamber on Bucks Road in Douglas.
