Gallagher seals 10km success

John Gallagher won the latest round of the Up and Running Winter Walking League.

He took the handicap 10 kilometres victory at the National Sports Centre on Sunday ahead of Eric Kissack and Stephen Corkill.

Steph Quayle was the first woman home in fourth with Alexandra Valentine and Samantha Draper completing the top six line-up.

Michael George, Jock Waddington and Richard Gerrard were the fastest competitors in actual time.

Rebecca Greatbatch came out on top in the five kilometres race ahead of Caroline Walter and Alexandra Ross.

Juan Bellando pipped Ross by just over a minute in actual time.

Danielle Oates, Jason Turner and Toby Young won the respective three, two and one kilometre races.
