Manx2.com offers Southampton solution

by isleofman.com 6th February 2012

MANX2.com has offered any passengers who are due to fly from the Island to Southampton the option to rebook their travel arrangements.

It follows the news that Flybe has cancelled the direct air link to Southampton - a decision that will take effect from February 29.

Passengers will still be able to travel to Southampton with Flybe but it will involve changing at Manchester.

Manx2.com has offered all passengers due to travel on this route the option of re-booking and travelling to Gloucester or Oxford instead for £1 less than was originally paid for the ticket to Southampton.

David Buck, Manx2.com's managing director, said: "Protecting access to the Isle of Man and maintaining visitor numbers is crucial to the economy in these difficult times.

"We want to ensure that no one has to cancel their plans to visit the Island and both Gloucester (M5) and London Oxford airports have great, fast, road access.

"So with our offer to rebook passengers onto one of our direct flights for £1 less than their original fare we hope to save visitors time and money and get every trip to the Isle of Man off to a great start."

To rebook tickets passengers should email their booking confirmation to reservations@manx2.com.
