Treasury official to give Budget talk to ICSA

A SENIOR official from the Isle of Man Treasury will give a presentation on the 2012 Budget later this month.

 

Assistant financial controller Carl Hawker will speak to the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA) on Wednesday, February 22.

 

Mr Hawker has worked on the compilation and presentation of the Island's Budgets since 2003. Prior to this he was the director of finance at the then Department of Health and Social Security. 

 

Gillian Prestwich, chairman of the Isle of Man ICSA, said: "We are delighted Carl is able to give this presentation. As a key advisor to the Treasury Minister he will be able to share his understanding of the drivers behind this year's budget decisions and the strategy devised by the Treasury for the rebalancing of government finances in the years ahead."

 

The presentation is being held in the Shearwater Suite at the Best Western Palace Hotel in Douglas and will start at 6pm.  Admission is free for members and £10 for non members.
