'No surprise' over Flybe's Southampton route closure

The Island's airport director says it's no surprise Flybe has decided to call time on its direct flights to Southampton at the end of the month.

Manx Radio news yesterday revealed the route would close on February 29.

You will still be able to get there, but only by changing planes in Manchester.

Ann Reynolds says the route has struggled for numbers:
