by isleofman.com 3rd February 2012

An inquest has heard the death of a 13-day old baby from Colby remains unexplained.

Henry Glynn-Riley, from Kirkle Farm on Ballakilowey Road, died in Noble's Hospital on January 27.

An inquest at Douglas Courthouse was told consultant paediatrician Willian van der Merwe, who saw the little boy after he died, described it as a sudden unexplained infant death.

A post mortem was carried out at Alder Hey Hospital in Liverpool, but the cause of Henry's death has been withheld while further investigations are carried out.

Coroner John Needham adjourned proceedings until the cause of death is established.
