MEMBERS of the public have been invited to have their say on the Manx Grand Prix Festival.
The Department of Economic Development has launched an online survey as part of a review of all elements of the festival including the costs, benefits and its future potential.
Participants are asked to answer 20 questions about why they attend the festival, how they rate the event and whether they consider it value for money.
The survey also asks people how they found about the festival and what other activities they take part in when visiting the Island.
Trevor Hussey, the head of motorsport for the Department of Economic Development, said: "We are looking for feedback from anyone who may have a valid point of view based on their previous experiences around the event.
"I would encourage anyone, whether they have attended the Manx Grand Prix Festival or not, to help us with our research so that we can build up an accurate picture of its successes and areas for improvement."
As well as gaining the viewpoint of members of the public the Department of Economic Development is also holding focus groups for people involved in the motorcycle industry including sponsors, journalists, competitors and officials.
The department is also analysing all of the costs associated with the festival - as well as the event structure, marketing and PR – to be able to "thoroughly and accurately" evaluate the return on investment that the festival generates for the Island.
This part of the review is due to be finalised this month (February) and the full review of the Manx Grand Prix is due to be completed in April.
This year's Manx Grand Prix - which will run from August 18 to September 2 – will not be affected by the review.
