MANX Telecom has launched an online TV news service for the Isle of Man.
MTTV is a free service, available via Manx.net, and will be fronted by local broadcaster Paul Moulton.
The former BBC and Granada reporter said he hopes the new service would provide a "slice of Manx life" for viewers who want local news on demand.
He explained: "MTTV will be made on the Isle of Man exclusively for the Isle of Man. It will be the Island's first dedicated HD TV news channel and represents the future of how all television news will look. It’s so exciting to be involved in this right at the beginning.
"Viewers can choose what they want to watch when they want to watch it - not just when TV programme schedulers choose to broadcast news bulletins.
"MTTV will provide news on demand. When a big story breaks we won't sit around waiting for the next news bulletin - our report will be on the site within minutes of the final edit."
Mike Dee, the chief executive officer of Manx Telecom, said: "MTTV is another example of how we are constantly developing innovative ideas to create new products and services.
"There is a demand for up to date local television news delivered to viewers over the internet to the device of their choice.
"With Paul Moulton's background as an experienced and respected broadcaster MTTV viewers can be confident that news reports will be of the highest standard.
"He shares our enthusiasm for MTTV and we look forward to the channel becoming an integral part of Island life."
