by isleofman.com 1st February 2012

A former MHK is bidding to make a return to politics.

Bill Malarkey, who was a South Douglas MHK until four months ago, will stand for Douglas Council in April’s local authority elections.

He will contest a seat in Murray’s Ward and is being proposed by long-time councillor Jim Mitchell, who has also announced he’ll stand down at the same time.

Mr Malarkey is keen to get involved again in politics.
