Airport director Ann Reynolds has defended the security fence put up around Ronaldsway as the right thing to do.
When the project was first mooted, it faced widespread criticism and debate over whether it was really necessary.
But, speaking to Geraldine Jamieson, she explained the changing nature of aviation security meant it couldn't be avoided.
