Broadcaster puts forward case for local TV

by isleofman.com 30th January 2012

The Isle of Man has not pushed the BBC hard enough when it comes to getting local television coverage.

That's according to local broadcaster Paul Moulton who will speak about this issue at tonight's (Monday) Positive Action Group meeting.

He says the Channel Islands have had local content aired every evening for more than 10 years - and he remains convinced there's an appetite for something similar over here.

Mr Moulton believes it would have happened before now if the BBC had felt more competitive.

The free-to-attend meeting is at the Manx Legion Club in Douglas tonight at 7.30pm.
