Cambrian Place scheme welcomed by MHK

East Douglas MHK Chris Robertshaw says a huge ?12.7 million development planned by Douglas Borough Council is great news for the capital.

At last week's budget metting, council leader David Christian revealed plans for a 460-space car park, a new home for the town's library and offices for council workers, at Cambrian Place on Lord Street.

Mr Robertshaw says the site is one of the first impressions people get of the Island as they drive off the ferry.

He hopes the scheme will help improve the whole area around it:
