Millers move level at the summit

by isleofman.com 28th January 2012

The battle for JCK Division Two is delicately poised.

That’s after an Alex Suckling double and a Lee Christian goal fired Union Mills to a 3-0 victory over Douglas & District.

That moved the Millers level at the top with Marown.

Elsewhere, Douglas Royal won the battle of the sides just below the promotion chase with a 2-0 win at Michael.

Colby won the southern derby 2-1 but were pushed hard by bottom club Ronaldsway.

• Onchan booked their place in the first round of the Cu Plas FA Cup with a hard-fought 3-1 victory over the Police.

Goals from Brago Smilyanov (two) and Ally Morris earnt a tie with Ayre United next week.
