Ayre to learn first round cup opponents

by isleofman.com 28th January 2012

The last remaining place in the first round of the Manx FA Cup is being decided today (Saturday).

Division Two sides Police and Onchan meet after the fixture was postponed on the original date three weeks ago.

The match has been switched to Pulrose's pitch by Douglas Corporation, with the winners at home to Ayre.

In the Premier League, leaders and reigning champions St George's will hope to stretch their unbeaten league run to 50 games when they visit Rushen.

Their last defeat came at Croit Lowey in April 2010.

Elsewhere, Laxey host Old Boys, Corinthians welcome bottom side Ayre to Ballafletcher, Gymns are home to Castletown, Ramsey Youth Centre go to Peel, and St John's take on Ramsey.
