Council scheme could be a catalyst

It's hoped Douglas Borough Council's ?12.7 million development at Cambrian Place on Lord Street will kickstart further regeneration in the area.

The plan to build a 460-space car park and new site for the Henry Bloom Noble Library was announced at the local authority's budget meeting yesterday (Friday).

Council leader David Christian says the project will be key to what happens on the adjacent Middlemarch plot (listen to audio file below):
